About the Position

The Architectural Drafter supports Job Captains, Senior Designers, and Project Managers by producing accurate, detailed drawings for projects of all sizes. This role focuses on drafting, documentation, and technical accuracy, ensuring that design intent is clearly communicated and coordinated across disciplines. The Drafter is an essential contributor to project delivery and team efficiency.

Job Responsibilities

• Produce architectural drawings under the direction of Job Captains and Senior Designers.

• Draft plans, elevations, sections, and details with accuracy and consistency.

• Update drawings based on redlines, design changes, and coordination feedback.

• Maintain drawing standards and file organization across all assigned projects.

• Assist with assembling construction document sets.

• Coordinate with internal team members to ensure alignment between architectural, interior, and engineering drawings.

• Research basic code requirements and incorporate direction from senior staff.

• Support Job Captains by preparing diagrams, layouts, and technical studies.

• Communicate proactively when encountering unfamiliar tasks or missing information.

• Manage time effectively to meet deadlines across multiple concurrent projects.

• Stay current with drafting best practices, software updates, and industry standards.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree, associate degree, or certificate in Architecture, Drafting, or related field.

• 1–3 years of experience in architectural drafting, preferably on commercial projects.

• Strong AutoCAD skills; Revit proficiency preferred.

• Working knowledge of construction documents and building systems.

• Keen attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

• Strong organizational and time‑management skills.

• Professional communication skills and a collaborative mindset.

• Interest in continued professional development.

• Working vehicle and driver’s license required.
